The coalition of hard-left types and hard Islamics is a wonder to behold. The more mundane reverence the gay activists have for the Muslims you allude to is baffling. It is akin to Covid. Those who could not fight the pressure to conform got injected with an unknown substance. Almost impossible to imagine anyone could be coerced in this way given the high personal cost they were risking.
The gays and assorted fellow travellers must know at some level how hostile Muslims are to homosexuality. They are very honest about it after all. So what really explains this? Brainwashing is not enough. Something else must be at play.
I think it is a performance. We are so willing to go the distance to destroy that which we think is evil (the straight white West) that we will risk our lives to ally with others who share this goal. That's how serious we are.
Performance is most certainly a sizeable part of it, although as I alluded to, I think it's a perverse, seemingly contradictory form of self-preservation, in which they are forced of sacrifice individual members on the alter of mass immigration in order to avoid emboldening "the Right" who ultimately pose a far greater existential threat to the movement as a whole.
It really is a bizarre situation they find themselves in, and one which really highlights just how morally bankrupt they are.
If that is their analysis you would have to question their sanity. Plenty on the right are not keen on gays but their basic stance is keep it to yourself. They are not going to throw them from roofs. How can they ignore this aspect of Islamic teaching?
The attitude you describe seems to reveal, as you mentioned, who they believe their greatest enemy or threat is. But the forces and influences behind this movement may feel the same. The goal of the sexual degenerate movement is to destroy the norms and structure of western civilization. The goal of importing millions of violent islamists to western nations is to destroy the peace and safety of western civilization. They are partners in the same goal, but junior partners. Pro-LGBT and pro-immigration groups with money to fund effective events generally have one thing in common.
