Some Stuff I Think You Might Like: March 2023
“You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.” - Al Capone, famed American mobster (1899 – 1947)
You know you are living through some pretty tumultuous times whenever a month which witnessed the indictment of Trump, a sudden acceleration in the banking crisis, yet more toxic train derailments, Biden blunders, and WWIII saber-rattling (not to mention the media’s efforts to rationalize the politically-motivated slaughter of children) is – if not exactly uneventful – then at least perfectly in-keeping with the tone and tenor of the last three years.
In the midst of this bedlam, I find myself compelled to kick off March’s media round-up with what might be called “a word of caution.”
After all, standing on the frontlines of this still raging information war, screaming unheeded warnings as to the rapidly approaching precipice, the reader is likely well acquainted with the paralyzing despondency that can too often arise.
